Only the Lord knows our hearts and states in Jeremiah 17:10, “I the LORD search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.” Indeed, the Lord understands our hearts and the thoughts that enter into our human hearts. Isaiah further states, “The LORD summoned me before I was born he spoke of my name from the womb of my mother” (Isaiah 49:1). Like Paul, who was chosen by the Heavenly Father from the moment of his mother’s conception, “…and called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me, so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone” (Galatians 1:15–16). God was also familiar with us prior to our birth (Psalm 139:16). In reality, our situation is just the same as Jeremiah, aside from the fact that he is a prophet called by God to spread His Word. The Lord informs us in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you I appointed you a prophet to the nations,” indicating that God undoubtedly recognizes what we’ll speak even before we speak it. Supporting that idea, according to Psalm 139, “Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O LORD, you know it completely” (verse 4). Does God Know What You Are Thinking All The Time?īased on the Holy Book of God, He knows what we are thinking every time. Christ demonstrated omniscience, a quality unique to a deity. Coveting is another sin of the mind.Īs Jesus Christ roamed the earth, He read people’s minds and provided answers before they could even ask them out loud (seen in Bible verses Luke 9:47 11:17 Matthew 9:4 12:25). While the tenth commandment forbids coveting other people’s possessions which can be found in Exodus 20:17. The supreme commandment is to serve only the Almighty One and no other gods which is written in Exodus 20:3. The Ten Commandments of God includes two that speak about our minds. In line with that, God looks for individuals whose hearts are directed toward Him by searching the minds, souls, and hearts of people (Chronicles 29:17 Jeremiah 12:3 1 Acts 15:8). The first line of Psalm 139 teaches us that simple lesson. Only God knows our thoughts even the evil thoughts. Regardless of wherever we are, God is conscious of what we think.
